The Oceans & Wildlife Institute (OWI) is a U.S. 501c3 nonprofit that advances wildlife resiliency by leading initiatives in wildlife disaster preparedness, response, rescue and recovery and building the workforce this takes. Its main arms are Wildlife Rescue Operations Center, Wildlife Resiliency Research Center, Wildlife Academy, and Texas State Aquarium, all located near Port Corpus Christi, the largest energy export port in the United States. OWI and its partners together rescue and recover thousands of sea turtles and other animals and release them back to the wild each year.

The Wildlife Restoration Foundation (WRF) is a U.S. 501c3 nonprofit with a mission to restore wildlife population viability in and around parks. “Collaborating with Wildlife” is a term that WRF uses to promote active understanding, appreciation, and respect for the natural behaviors and needs of wildlife living amongst human society. WRF is shifting the paradigm from a remnant vision of wildlife today to a North American legacy of wildlife abundance.
